June 14 - Day 11 - A Quick Look at Cow Town

We had something to be thankful for this morning, as it rained on and off all night long, but someone turned off the tap at around 5am.  Although still quite cold, overcast, and damp, IT WASN'T RAINING...........so off we went, making a B-line for Calgary.  Sid and I had a real good stint this morning, put in a lot of km's quickly, and even Sid's rear flat didn't slow us down too long.  You would think it was a clear downhill run all the way to Calgary, but there are a number of good hills along the way.......nothing like the mountains obviously, but didn't want you to think we just coasted into town.  Our first stop in Calgary was the campground we were supposed to stay at last night, and where our new C2C logo gear was to have been delivered......crap, not there, so tracing that one after the blog.

A little late but we made it

We had a beautiful run through the city on som excellent bike paths, then fought through some traffic and broke into open country East of the city.  We have arrived safely in Strathmore for the evening, and will be on the road AM heading for Brooks........thanks for all your support.......great hearing from you......all the best.......Hugh
